The Pre-Medical course will open you the doors to the faculties of Medicine
Since 1990, we offer a preparation programme for foreign students which makes the admission process to the Hungarian university system easier, particularly for the faculties of Medicine and Odontology.
We would like to highlight that during the Pre-Medical courses you will have lectures in Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Physics, English, Hungarian and Technical English with a focus on healthcare degrees. The communication will be in English and always in small groups. There are also subjects concerned with Biochemistry, Physiology and Anatomy.
For some students, it is necessary to reinforce and deepen their knowledge of the language in order to start successfully the degree in Medicine. At the beginning of the preparatory course, the knowledge of the student will be assessed, and the student will be assigned to a certain class depending on the results. More than 95% of students have been able to gain admission to the Faculty of Medicine after taking the Pre-Medical course. The results achieved later by these students at the faculties of Medicine are well above average.
Students learn to know other cultures in an international environment and develop their autonomy. The professors at the Faculty support and encourage students at all times through personalised attention. The courses are offered in English.
The preparatory courses are also an unforgettable social experience for foreign students, who enrich their personal development through organised excursions and social and cultural events. The direct meeting with Hungarian culture makes this year a unique experience before starting the degree in Medicine at university.
The Pre-Medical starts regularly in September and finishes in May with the admission test to the concerned university. The Spanish cultural delegate in Hungary participated in the opening ceremony of this year. In her speech, she remarked the great chance that these students have to be a part of this community in a world that is becoming more and more global and which requires a perfect command of English.
This course will make it easier for you to be admitted into the faculties related to healthcare, as students who have taken this programme are the first to be accepted at different faculties of Medicine. Furthermore, you will have improved your scientific knowledge and your level of English.
For students who have a good level of English, we offer an intensive preparatory course which starts in January 2018. The period for matriculation for the preparatory courses will finish soon. The number of places is limited.
The Pre-Medical course allows students to adjust gradually to university. Our professors teach students individually and take good care of them. In these courses you will meet students from the most different countries and backgrounds and you will work in small groups. You will learn to adjust to an independent life and at the same time you will receive intensive preparation in written and oral tests.
The preparatory courses are a part of a wider international study programme. At their facilities you will meet students from various countries who are taking similar preparatory courses for other degrees.
